23 Years of God's Grace

Trinity Sunday 2009 was celebrated on June 7. Besides being the day when Christians traditionally reflect on the Triune God, it is also the day when we at Trinity celebrated our parish birthday -- our Name Day -- commemorating 23 years of God's grace and mercy. Trinity Hillcrest Church was founded in 1986. Since then, we have seen countless changes, lots of challenges, and even more blessings. We have grown, year after year, in our self-understanding, not only as low-church Episcopalians, but as evangelical Christians. Today, we are in a place of spiritual unity unprecedented in our parish's life; we have greater passion for the gospel; and we have learned more and more to love one another because Jesus "first loved us." This Trinity Sunday, please join me in thanking God for all he has done for us, all he is doing today, and all he will do as we go forward in gospel ministry!
